book character art

One of the more exciting steps I’m going through right now (and sometimes intimidating) as an indie author is working with artists to bring your characters to life. Whether you're looking for character art for social media, bonus content, or a stunning custom cover, I’ll walk you through how to find the right artist, how to communicate with them, what to expect from the process, and how to budget for it.

“I’m really interested in the collaborative thing. It's what makes it scary because you never know what it's going to end up like. But you hope. You put yourself in the hands of the best people you can find, and you're completely dependent on the kindness of strangers and their commitment.” - Meryl Streep

Jessica Medina

Hey there! I'm Jessica Medina. Trust me, you’re gonna want me in your fellowship.

I’m blessed with an eye for great design and a passion for storytelling in all its forms. As a creative professional with over 10 years of experience in marketing/branding, I aim to approach client projects with clarity and empathy in mind.

I have an extensive background in design, and am well versed in the Adobe Creative Suite. I’m a published fiction author, so trust me when I say that the writing industry is very near and dear to my heart.

I truly love helping individuals and businesses craft stunning visuals and branding elements. I’m an INFJ. Enneagram 2. Ask me to take a character quiz and I’ll always get the helper. The mentor. The support. And you can bet your Golden Snitch I know what I’m doing around a computer.
