Outlining a Novel Using the 7 Point Plot Structure

So everyone goes about plotting and writing their books in different ways. I don’t really think there is one single best way to plot out a book or story. I just don’t. I think whatever way gets you excited to write and results in your best work is the best way. Period.

But I did want to break down my favorite method for plot work and outlining a novel. So I created this nifty YouTube series on the topic! I use the 7 Point Plot Structure (also known as the 7 Point Story Structure). In the video, I use a few movie examples, including Avatar, Wonder Woman, and Jane Eyre to help break down the concepts and show examples of great storytelling.

I go over what makes these stories work, using the 7 Point Plot Structure, and learn how to craft great story in the process! This is one of the first steps in the writing process, especially if you're a plotter, but it can also be useful for pansters, too!
