writing is aspirational

Once my books are published, I don’t open them again. Not even to flip through it (besides the occasional signing). Because the moment I do, I want to change everything. But I think I'm coming to learn and understand that it's just the nature of art. My taste will always be aspirational. And that's okay . . . since I chose to become an author, I wish I had learned this sooner.

“All of us who do creative work, we get into it because we have good taste. But there is this gap. For the first couple years you make stuff, it’s just not that good. . . . And your taste is why your work disappoints you. A lot of people never get past this phase, they quit . . . It is only by going through a volume of work that you will close that gap, and your work will be as good as your ambitions. . . . You’ve just gotta fight your way through.” ― Ira Glass

Jessica Medina

Hey there! I'm Jessica Medina. Trust me, you’re gonna want me in your fellowship.

I’m blessed with an eye for great design and a passion for storytelling in all its forms. As a creative professional with over 10 years of experience in marketing/branding, I aim to approach client projects with clarity and empathy in mind.

I have an extensive background in design, and am well versed in the Adobe Creative Suite. I’m a published fiction author, so trust me when I say that the writing industry is very near and dear to my heart.

I truly love helping individuals and businesses craft stunning visuals and branding elements. I’m an INFJ. Enneagram 2. Ask me to take a character quiz and I’ll always get the helper. The mentor. The support. And you can bet your Golden Snitch I know what I’m doing around a computer.
